Senior Process Engineer

The Senior Process Engineer will be based out of Macon, Georgia (1897 Allen Road, 31216). Under the general direction of the Engineering Manager, the Senior Process Engineer’s main role is providing effective process engineering technical resources, continuous improvement development through Green Belt initiatives, systems, and support to Converting and Manufacturing (including Packaging, Product Development, People Development) in a timely manner to help the Organization achieve the business goals across Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Post-secondary education (Engineering, Manufacturing or related technical field) 

Experience

  • At least 10 years in a Process Engineering role, 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience with tissue making chemistry preferably TAD Technology
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment including involvement in business improvement projects and techniques
  • Project management skills coupled with the ability to deliver tangible business level results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


 The main duties/responsibilities of this role include: 

  • Development, implementation and maintenance of process engineering function
  • Providing leadership, guidance and management of process engineering team
  • In conjunction with production resources, provide process standardization (including SPC, centerlines)
  • Provide technical support and leadership to ensure the site standards and processes are developed and compliance requirements are completed in MOC, Project, New to Site initiatives
  • Provide a high performing team environment that delivers results that meet or exceed expectations
  • Be the custodian and driver of methodical problem solving – providing skills, coaching and discipline to make sure that the appropriate level of rigor is applied to the problem solving process
  • Proactively identify performance improvement opportunities (within the process engineering function for the team and individuals) that are directly linked with improving overall business goals
  • Monitoring of allocated resources and cost control for projects and ongoing day to day activities, measuring and improving department efficiency, while providing effective and timely support to production
