Are you a construction industry professional looking for a change of scenery?
We are currently seeking candidates for the role of Project Procurement Coordinator to join our JDI Supply Chain team.
This position is located at our head office in Saint John, New Brunswick.
What To Expect in a Typical Day:
· Source/procure various types of goods and services
· Lead strategic sourcing on projects and make recommendations to site(s)
· Opportunities to challenge yourself daily by making quick and creative decisions to meet site requirements in a fast-paced industry
Key Responsibilities include:
· Procurement of goods and services via sourcing and negotiations
· Assist in drafting scopes of work
· Daily/weekly management of divisional KPIs and initiatives
· Enable business leaders to make informed decisions by providing options and recommendations based on data and analysis
· Build, maintain and manage relationships with key vendors and stakeholders
· Identify and capture cost savings opportunities
Qualifications:
· Construction related degree/diploma and five years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in the construction industry.
· Have a working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, and project management.
· Ability to read, interpret, and translate engineering drawings, specifications and contract documents.
· Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal, and the ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms
· Familiar with Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
· Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills
· Results oriented with a strong attention to detail
· Able to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks and achieve targets
