Shipping, Maintenance & Facilities Planner

 

Kent Homes is accepting applications for a Shipping, Maintenance & Facilities Planner.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate a willingness to work in a fast-paced ever-changing atmosphere. The candidate must be hardworking, a self-starter and team player with a strong work ethic.

 

In business since 1957, Kent Homes is one of the largest home builders and mobile shelter rental companies in Atlantic Canada. We have 150,000 square feet of space dedicated to building quality homes year-round. We serve remote, rural, and urban centers throughout Atlantic Canada and Ontario.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping:

  • Coordinate with customers, internal operations, and trucking companies to manage outbound deliveries of finished houses.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and quality sign offs.
  • Manage inventory levels within acceptable seasonal levels.
  • Track and report shipping activities and resolve any issues that arise.

 

Operational Plant Maintenance:

  • Assist in planning & scheduling of maintenance jobs on production line.
  • Developing preventative maintenance programs for key operational assets.
  • Increase availability and uptime of key operational assets.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers for parts and services.

 

Facilities Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Manage facility-related projects, including renovations and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with contractors and service providers for facility maintenance.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or trade school education is a plus.
  • Proven experience in shipping, maintenance, and facilities management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with all stakeholders in a high paced environment.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for tracking and reporting.
