Compensation Manager

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Manager, Compensation provides subject matter expertise, consulting and guidance on all compensation matters for both current and future compensation programs impacting the Saint John based J.D. Irving, Limited companies. This includes, but not limited to, surveys, market analysis, job evaluations, pay equity, incentives, annual merit process, training, and development.

 

The Role: 

  • Provide guidance in the areas of compensation including, maintenance of pay structures, market survey participation, and ownership of annual salary review process
  • Review, interpret, and analyze internal & external market data/ trends to ensure competitive positioning within the market
  • Act as the lead pay specialist in Pay and Employment equity for Federally Regulated businesses, guiding and coaching the business to maintain compliance with legislation 
  • Lead job evaluation process to ensure internal job equity and provide training to support business HR teams in job design and job evaluation 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 5-7 years in HR with a focus on compensation / rewards programs
  • Certified Compensation Professional designation or in progress
  • Strong consulting and communication skills
  • Experience with HR systems
