Formed in 2011, Juniper Organics Limited produces soils and mulches for retail markets as well as growing media and mixes for professional growers of horticultural and agricultural products. Like so many of our customers, our team in Juniper, NB is growing and we’re seeking a quality assurance professional to join our team.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Quality Control Technician will provide leadership and assistance in process management and product quality assurance through the monitoring and testing of products from raw materials through to shipment of finished goods. In addition to Quality Control, the Quality Control Technician will assist the site with daily operations and labour support if needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods
- Compare the physical characteristics of components, materials, and products to identify defects
- Conduct simple tests, record results, and prepare simple technical reports
- Support the site with labour needs as required
Requirements:
- Experience in a quality related field an asset
- Highschool education or equivalent
- Microsoft Office experience required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
