ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - STUDENT (SUMMER 2024)

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Administrative Assistant (4-month summer student – May-August) at our St John's Terminal. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude.

Shift: Monday to Friday 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM

Qualifications:

• Excellent listening skills with the ability to quickly identify relevant issues in a fast pace environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Energy, enthusiasm and a professional demeanor are a must
• Excellent computer skills and proficient knowledge of MS Office
• Transportation experience is an asset

 Key Responsibilities

• Answering phone calls
• Tracking shipments
• Assisting drivers if any issues
• Entering pick ups
• Scanning
• Making freight forms for dock
• Assisting dispatcher with assigning pick ups to drivers
• Any additional duties assigned by dispatcher
