OPPORTUNITY FOR PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

We are currently accepting resumes for a PROJECT ACCOUNTANT, a full-time position located in Saint John NB. As the successful applicant for this opportunity, you will be focusing on the Construction and Equipment Group of Companies. As a key member of our Finance team, you will hold a CPA Designation, be a skilled-multitasker that is highly motivated and likes to work in a fast-paced team environment.  You will be quick on your feet and able to handle challenges as they arise, while effectively prioritizing your workload.
 
Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education completion, with 5 or more years of relevant experience
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation
• Strong communications skills, and previous experience working with senior management
• Demonstrated competency in assessing, working through, and resolving issues related to project accounting
• Demonstrated commitment to your ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities:
The primary function of this role is to provide accurate and timely project accounting functions for Construction and Equipment Division. This will be achieved primarily through:

• Preparing complex project accounting reports and maintaining ledgers for associated costs
• Monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and reviewing project costs and expenditures.
• Preparing weekly and period project reports
• Providing periodic variance reporting requirements
• Responsible for gathering appropriate documentation for internal and external auditors
• Providing support for additional finance functions such as financial analysis, corporate reporting, etc.
• Other ad-hoc requests as required
