Ports & Coastal Operations Manager

Atlantic Towing Limited is a well established and growing marine transportation company with a diverse fleet of Harbour, Coastal/Deep Sea Tugs, as well as, Offshore Supply Vessels with locations in Saint John, New Brunswick, Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John's, Newfoundland.

We are currently seeking applications for the position of Ports & Coastal Operations Manager to join our Saint John operation. The Ports & Coastal Operations Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Lead the operations for Ports & Coastal Fleet; including performance management, customer management, communication to all stakeholders as well as promoting and supporting a safe work environment.
• In conjunction with the Director of Port & Coastal Operations, plan and prepare strategic and annual budgets for the Port & Coastal fleet;
• Regularly review the forecasts and financials for the Port & Coastal fleet, with respect to annual budgets;
• Support and play an active role in initiatives and daily management for the Port & Coastal fleet, ensuring excellent customer service;
• In conjunction with the QHSS Department monitor regulatory developments in the area of health, safety and environmental protection to ensure compliance
• Plan, and organize the fleet in accordance with statutory, regulatory and classification society requirements, company policies and commercial commitments, and liaise with other departments, regulatory bodies, classification societies and customers for such;
• Monitor the execution of the planned maintenance programs on board the vessels in conjunction with the Asset Management Team.
• Ensure high employee engagement in area of responsibility with an unwavering commitment to ensure all concerns are addressed

Qualifications include:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Operations leadership position or Senior Marine Professional position
• Completion of post secondary education or the equivalent in experience;
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and change, manage deadlines and priorities, well organized and comfortable working with financials and other data.
• Thrives in a fast pace and changing environment
• Ability to positively influence others by developing cooperative networks and building strong partnerships at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Demonstrates strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
• Possess a high commitment to customer service and safe working practices
